Spicy ones sold in Israeli and Arab places. Smaller the better. Like these http://www.israeliproducts.com/page/...1e339c8f768e8c

Oh man, I miss those spicy pickles. Used to get 'em in Dearborn, Michigan with shawarma. Can't wait to get some good stuff in April when I'm in the area.

I've never had Vietnamese pickled vegetables are they anything like Korean pickled vegetables or kimchi?

Speaking of making you own anyone have a good recipe or web site that will explain how to?

There is a book called Wild Fermentation that is really great. Shows you how to make all kinds of fermented foods, explaining the actual science and chemistry behind it too. There might be a website, but the book is $15, and invaluable.
