Great pics. I also like the SF reference:
Quote:
The Internet has created a subculture of gentleman who love to discuss the minutiae of hand-made garments. Somewhere, there's a guy who's very excited about this bit of "tailor porn."

I must say though, I'm sad to see that Parisian men have succumbed to the flip flop.

Just like jazz, one more American thing the French can turn their nose up at and later shamelessly adopt.
Gotta love it.

I always enjoy your photography. Good eye.

The best combination would be Arnys and something from Colette.

As always, you've got the most interesting pics. thank again

wow those are great Scott. I posted over at the blogspot site that all the pics on there seemed to be of either women or of yourself - now I see why....your saving all your good stuff for style.com. thanks, keep up the great work, and hope you enjoyed(ing?) the trip

Have you been to Colette recently? So over. It's like a clothing equivalent of Disneyland on a hot August day -- packed and uncomfortable, and even more self-congratulatory.

Sartorialist, you seem to have hit a key by mistake. It's Arnys, not Arny's, in the same way it's not Herme's or L'obb.

My parisian style is a mixt of Green's Shoes, blue jean Edwin, shirt from Charvet and a blazer from Arnys [and not Arny's !!!] ...with a silk "pochette" from Hermès....

NO FLIP FLOP "SHOES" for a Dandy Parisian....too casual is awfull just for the middle class...who play every summer day Saint-Tropez Hollydays in Paris...

Don't Worry I'm Happy and I Treat me...

Hi Scott,

COLETTE is just a shop for fashion victims who want to pay gadgets and clothes 30 to 50 % higher price for the same products found in NY oy SF or sometimes Paris.

The link

http://www.colette.fr/index.php

COLETTE is not at all representative of the french fashion
ARNYS, MARC GUYOT, LANVIN, HERMES....are better representatives ..

[I Apologize for my bad english..I don't practice....I'm 100% french]

Are you really Martin from souliers.net or are you trolling him? In general, he seems a little more tasteful than you are, forgive my saying it.

Great photos. Colette is always so mobbed, it's impossible to move around. However, I have always enjoyed the Water Bar downstairs.
The "Water Bar downstairs" it's just one of the good place to meet "boys"....

Last time I went, I think the Water Bar had been turned into some sort of Italian designer cafe.

Are you getting homophobic on us, George? For shame!
