The Granary Restaurant on the grounds of Spring Creek Ranch. The food is excellent. The restaurant is about 1000 feet above the city, so the views are terrific. I recommend it highly.

The Blue Lion Restaurant is also good.

If you end up down by Wilson, check out Nora's Fish Creek Inn. They are famous for their trout and their huevos rancheros.

When I was there the cattle were grazing in the fields below. From the restaurant they looked like ants. The three or so thousand head of cattle are actually shipped by train from California to Wyoming every spring, and then back in fall before winter weather returns. I don't know if they will be there when you arrive, but the views will be spectacular with or without them. Enjoy!

Nora's for breakfast before a big day skiing, not for your dad's birthday.

That may be - though I think my dad would prefer Nora's for his birthday to many others.
