Who makes Tom Ford shoes?

I was looking at some of the Tom Ford shoes available at a local clothing shop and I was curious to know who makes his shoes? I know all the rest of his line is manufactured by Zegna. Are the shoes manufactured by Zefer or Kiton? I find the beveled waist quite nice on most of his shoe line.
Does anybody on the forum have a pair? If so how do you find these shoes (are they comfortable, are they well built)? The price of these shoes has it competing with JL prestige, Berluti and EG.

Zefer, have a pair and have closely inspected his shoes at Madison. Though I like some of his aggressive designs, others less so, they are nowhere near the quality of Lobb or EG. They are very similar in quality to this year's Sutors. Take a look at Ian Daniels' Sutor and Tom Ford stock on shopthefinest.com. Short of a less aggressive heel design on the SM's, they are the same leather, etc. IMO, worth about $400-500, levels below his retail price.

I was looking at some TF suede loafers yesterday, list $1,750 and honestly didn't see the money in them. The leather was soft and supple but I did not see anything standout that made these nicer than the dozens of $3-500 suede loafers I have been looking at recently. Stitching, liner, etc nothing seemed to put it into a super-premium shoe to me... I guess they may be handmade and added to the TF markeup that "justifies" the price.

That´s what I had thought, too, before bengal-stripe, whom I consider an authority in such questions, suggested they might be made by Artioli: http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.p...2&postcount=22 Since I had the chance to inspect several pair of Artioli lately, I must say that I concur with his guess. The models were nearly identical to TF´s offerings.
