Montreal: Where to stay for cheap? - Page 3

Damn you must be an old timer. That was a wonderful time in F1 - great cars, great drivers (Senna, Prost, Piquet, Mansell, etc.) Shit track though.

Seems like the kind of party you have to get absolutely shitfaced to enjoy.

Montreal women are ridiculously hot, even hotter than the French women they left behind when they came to the new world. That alone can make a trip worth it, though I warn you that they are extremely haughty and rarely go home with tourists. Plus their French is sometimes incomprehensible.

If you're into clubbing and bar-hopping, there's plenty of that. The beer is good and there are tons of local microbreweries in the region.

It's a fairly charming city with a few nice sights to see (old town), some alright shopping, and the food can be quite good (if expensive). It's a bit like Europe-lite, with épiceries and boulangeries at street level in many neighbourhoods, though there is still quite a bit of suburban sprawl. Everyone speaks English as well as French, so communication should be no problem.

Rent and hotel rates are very cheap, which is nice. I recommend finding a place around Mt. Royal or St. Catherine's street to be closest to the nightlife and boutiques, though it's a tiny city and can even be crossed on foot if you don't want to take the metro.

It's no New York or Paris but you should have no problem enjoying yourself for a week if your goal is just to relax, drink, party and have fun.

I guess 31 is pretty old these days.
