I'm heading south from NY

conditions:

1. Has to be near I-95 after DC or near I-271 after pennsylvania to DC (ie western half of maryland)
2. can accommodate 15 ppl at once
3. reasonable prices (let's say around $20. cheaper is better as it will be easier to convince other people who dont care as much)

Is what I have so far.

I'm thinking

Way down

Lunch - Volt's in Frederick, MD
Dinner - Grady's BBQ or Wilbur BBQ around Goldsborough, NC

Way up

Lunch - K&L BBQ in Hopewell, VA or Stony Creek Tasty Hut in Stony Creek, NC
Dinner - Need another rec here

Any thing you might do differently? Any recs?

scratch smokeshack.

looking for a place in DC to feed 15 or so people $20 max?

any opinion on vidalia's $20 lunch special?

Volt will be over $20/person. They have a cheaper lunch option at the bar, but you can't really roll up with 15 people for that. It's a rather fancy restuarant.

That's a good idea. There are lots of great and inexpensive Chinese places in Rockville, which is pretty conveniently located between 270 and 95.
