Thank you. With my own experience I was merely illustrating my point that BCB are the devils work. I understand that when one breaks one should pay. I am just questioning the wisdom of making a part of the car, which existence is dictated by its prevention of expensive damage (among other things), 4-10 times as expensive.

Next you will be complaining that cars have any paint at all since people could just scratch it and the illuminati would be able to control the world via bodyshops. JOKE!

I understand and the second one looks pretty cool in a feminine sort of way. I just would deem it the wise choice to choose function over form in this matter.

Interesting article I just read relating to this thread topic: Metal Foam Bumper Also, another idea, though not an entirely serious one: Strip your car of all paint thereby leaving your car colormatched and without the added multi coats of paint, primer and clearcoat expense of a repair
