Someone had to start it. Just to make Conne, happy, Irish style Gaelic

Slainte go saol agat,
Bean ar do mhian agat.
Leanbh gach blian agat,
is solas na bhflaitheas tareis antsail seo agat.

Health for life to you,
A wife of your choice to you,
Land without rent to you,
A child every year to you,
And the light of heaven after this world for you.

Isn't there some special dispensation regarding Lent and St Paddy's Day? Everyone needs a day off now and then.

I am mostly Irish, until 7 or 8 generations ago when the family tree hit America and shit got all kinds of crazy. Anyway, I will be spending the day wine shopping, and probably won't even be drunk at the end of it. I am a terrible, terrible person.

My mom's side of the family always makes a big deal out of it (Great Grandma on both sides of my mom's family were from Ireland), but I am on the other side of the world and its also my gf's birthday so we wont really celebrate other than having a beer or two.
