Fantasy Baseball anyone?

Hi,

I am running an active, 16-team league through ESPN. We are expanding from last year's total of 10 and I am at least one manager shy of 16, 2 others had given me their word and should join when they get back from Jamaica tomorrow. However, I wouldn't mind rounding up more than one manager.

The scoring system is H2H points. Don't worry, I'll give a crash course of the system to any interested manager

Entry fee is $30. No money will be withheld from the $480 pot. Top two finishers will be paid.

The draft format is Auction and will be held this Thursday, March 18th at 8pm EST.

Feel free to browse the league yourself:

Anyone can attest to my integrity as a commissioner and the activity of this league. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. Thank You!

What is so confusing about the Auction format? All you do is press the "+1" button. You would prefer to be arbitrarily assigned a draft position in a 16-team league? Imagine the injustice of drafting at the end of the first round? Sure, you'll get two consecutive solid picks, but absolutely no chance of scoring a top-caliber player like Pujols, Hanley, Halladay, Lincecum, Prince Fielder, A-Rod, etc. Conversely, if you get the top pick, you'll be twiddling your thumbs for a good while. Heck, with the fringe picks you could cook dinner and copulate with somebody in between picks. You can make your case for one draft position, and another can make his -- but the fact of the matter is that you don't have a hand in where you draft. The traditional live draft format also breeds cookie-cutter teams. In Auction a rotation of Lincecum, Halladay, and King Felix is a possibility. Granted, you'd have to prudently manage your budget thereafter to effectively draft a balanced team; but nevertheless, the choice is yours. HRoi, are you interested?

A thought: people overpay for talent in auction drafts, meaning you'll find tons of upside pickups for $1-3.

True...just as you'll find tons of upside picks late in a live draft.

I'm think just too dumb to play, dude. But I'll check it out.

EDIT: Looks like your league's filled anyway.
