Size down one compared to Gitman. Our Legacy fits very TTS.
Really? Mine are about the same fit, with Our Legacy just being slightly more fitted. IMO both Gitman and Our Legacy both fit TTS. But I don't think sizing down one is necessary.

Sorry....I would size down one compared to what you would get in Gitman. A small gitman is much smaller than a small OL.
My experience has not been that there is a huge discrepency in sizing between gitman and our legacy either - but there are some differences in the fits of both lines. The 1940's Our Legacy shirts are cut wider than the rest, but only by a bit (maybe 1/2"). My gitman oxfords fit slimmer than my gitman tattersall (again, maybe 1 - 1/2").
Not to add to the confusion, but in my experience the Placket Shirt from OL fits just as slim, if not a touch slimmer than most Gitman shirts in the same size. As mentioned, the 1940's shirt and some of the other models are definitely roomier. I had a friend last season who picked up both of the OL Placket shirts we had in stock in Small specifically because he thought they fit better than his Gitman Smalls. Also, keep in mind that there is some variance based on fabric.
^ I have a Placket shirt from SS10 and it measures about 20 inches pit to pit. It's definitely not a slim-fitting shirt by any stretch of the imagination but the fabric is great and I like the relaxed fit.
Does anyone know if the Midsummer Japan check shirt fits true to size? I've never tried any OL shirts before. Usually, I wear BoO in Medium and its somewhat fitted. Should I stick with a Small?

I was considering buying just this shirt - and on deep discount.
I never pulled the trigger because the places kept on citing an XL with a p2p measurement of 23, which is not necessarily slim-fitting when compared to some brands (like BoO or APC shirting) but is certainly slim-fitting when compared to other brands. Too bad, awesome looking fabric.

I got this in a medium. Fits pretty true to size in my opinion.
Keep in mind Our Legacy has two distinct shirt fits, one which they call a "1940s shirt", and another, somewhat slimmer fit that they refer two as a "placket button down". They both have fairly slim arms, and are neat and fitted around the arms & collar, but the 1940s is slightly more boxy when you look side on, whereas the placket button down is slimmer around the waist area.
Anyone seen "Our Legacy 1940's Sundried Japan Check Shirt" anywhere in size S? in fact, I'm not sure what size I need, I usually wear 20"-21" p2p shirts.
