I don't know how much difference would that "burnished" factor make.

According to RL's website they are "dark brown". Mine developed a patina similar to yours and I personally very like it. More than Alden's cigar shell.

Would you say ravello is very close in color to AE chili?

Can someone please post a photo of his aged ravello shoes stating that how many years old the shoes are and the frequency of his wearings within such period? Photos under natural light and without flash are preferable. Comparison of the then brand new shoes to the aged version is further appreciated.

revello is rare, because its not often that they strip the horses ass down to the "shell" and the skin is unblemished and clear. If the shell is clear they can use it for light colours. otherwise they can only make cigar or # 8 and black... if not your ravello shoes wouldnt be so beautifully clean looking.

I saw an old display pair of PTB's in the RL store this week whose color was so completely different than the NIB PTB's that the salesperson was convinced that it was a different color to be begin with...one they don't sell anymore. I was like naaaaah, it just changes! she didnt believe me
