Karen Gordon's various "Transitive Vampire" books are - gasp - very readable, informative, and even entertaining grammar guides:

The Complete Plain Words by Earnst Gowers Editing made Easy Bruce Kaplan There a couple of books I use another is the Style Manual you should be able to find a pdf on the web

As any English major, I feel like Strunk and White is the best option. That book is my bible. It helps to remind you about almost every single grammatical concept. It's a lifesaver for me.

Eats, Shoots & Leaves certainly is not a novel.

It is, however, an entertaining and informative guide to punctuation.
