Good episode and I'm happy that it was a continuation of last season, but after the Lost fiasco I'm a little wary of flashforwards. Hope it was a one time thing.

That is a very good one, yes. I had forgotten about that one.

i'd like to see the flash forwards used throughout the season, similarly to the stuffed bear in season 2.

to be fair, LOST had some enormous problems and the use of flash forwards wasn't even a big one, if one at all.

Mike has family in the US (at least a Granddaughter), if he leaves and they see him on the video he can basically never come back.

Hopefully, this season's flashforwards offer a better pay-off though. That entire plane crash fiasco in S2 was rather anti-climactic.

so how long before the magnet in a cube van thing ends up on MythBusters?

I'm hoping very shortly. They should also do the acid in the bathtub.

Mike is an ex cop, so we can assume he would know how to stay under the radar while this laptop was taken care of. Even if he left, he would be at risk any time he went back to the US. He also has a kid daughter. I think he has reason enough to stay, despite how disgruntled he is by the whole situation.

Well, that's exactly my point. I mean, yes, the build-up was interesting and all especially when they revealed the 2 body bags and further wreckage but how exactly did the plane crash significantly affect the two main characters directly? It didn't.

Sure, Jesse went into rehab but that was more a direct outcome of Jane's death -- which I still consider the one of the series' highlights . After dealing with the plane crash aftermath in the S3 premiere, it was hardly ever mentioned again.

All that to say, Season 2 had its moments but the plane crash was not one of them. Vince Gilligan himself has stated multiple times that writing that season was extremely challenging and mapping out the plane crash was one of the reasons why.

Didn't realize Mike has family. I missed probably the first 3 seasons and I'm waiting for the entire series to come out on DVD to catch up. I'm a little pissed that the final "season" will be spread over 2 years, since it will be 2013-14 before they'll market the complete DVD set.

Vince Gilligan has said that breaking it up is actually to their benefit, as it has given them more time to write and produce (so not just a money grab).
