Stop all other online activity that could potentially slow down your download speeds, and get to work on that immediately.

+1

My roommate had the first season which I picked up while bored one weekend. 3 weeks later I finished all 5 seasons...what a ride.

Finally got around to watching this...I was out later than expected on Sunday and didn't record it. First time in two years! Anyway, great episode...love Skylar's play at the end! This could actually bring them back together again, after a fashion.

As others have already suggested, the producers really did well choreographing Jesse's behavior. The fact that we find him so fucking annoying means they're doing it all right (because I want to tune in all the more to see him wacked).

If he didn't 'get' it before, Walt finally understands what he hasn't been telling Jesse: Gus is not a man to be messed with, especially as a guy who could ignite a small scale concerted cross-national conflict.

Let's see:

--Jesse already threatened, in Saul's presence, Walt with outing him
--he's a user
--he working to undermine the lab and the product (from the preview)
--he knows where the lab is, period

Surely Walt is going to realize that he is going to have to give the ok to have him done away with. Especially now that his money is also flipping Hank's medical bills and I'm sure Skylar will think of other costs to be covered with Walt's money.

my wife started watching last year and finished over xmas vacation. she would actually poke me in the middle of the night and ask "why is proposition joe helping marlo?" while watching the dvds on a laptop in bed.

fortunately all the youtube analysis clips were already up by then so she would just consult those afterwards.

watching the wire is actually more rewarding the 2nd time around.

as to breaking bad... damn the 1st season was just depressing (but in a great entertaining way)... now they are reaching soprano's territory by raising the stakes bigtime.

An interesting change of pace, that's what.
I have no issue with the 'slower' episodes (see various posts upthread) generally I think the pacing of this show is the source of its brilliance, but last night...that was just grating.

I was tense as a mofo when Walt was saying "I'm sorry" for the death of Jesse's girl (LOL). My wife hated the episode, and felt the same way Matt felt, but I thought it was very interesting and giving me a lot to think about over the week. It was "just another day at the office" for those guys, but Walt's being tormented by his work.

I liked it. I certainly wouldn't want this type of episode to become something regular, but I like the change-up in the middle of all the action.

I thought it was great. Shit was intense. I think there were some interesting parallels between the hunt for the fly and the larger story. Walt's initial inability to ignore the seemingly insignificant fraction of a percent shrinkage ties in with his obsession with the insignificant fly. Walt swat Jesse with the flyswatter, and Jesse even looked like a fly when he put that mask on. When Gus catches Jesse skimming, he will hunt him down just as Walt and Jesse hunted down the fly. This episode could foreshadow an entire story arc.

ths was similar to the episode where they get stuck in the desert, just the two of them acting off each other .think about the acting skills it takes to do 50 minutes in just one space lab/winnebago (for most part) with just two actors, brilliant.

+1, very tense, but it felt like a different kind of tension then usual for the show.

i think the fly is symbolic of his conscience or guilt...he needed it gone to do the job he has to do but its stalking him (kinda like the glass eyeball previously)
