He's only killed once (Gale), and that was to save his own skin. He'd plotted to kill the dealer in season 1 and Gus, and those were also to save his own life. Walt had to cajole and plead quite strenuously in each case, and Jesse only aquiessed when he realized there was no alternative. Each time, he was petrified and it obviously disturbed him tremendously. I think he reflects how most of us would feel, and perhaps act, in like situations.

The only exception was the two street thugs at the end of season 3, but the extreme trauma he'd suffered regarding Jane and then Thomas made him snap. He was hardly thinking clearly, and he certainly wasn't himself.

^ He's killed in Mexico as well.

When Jesse gets emotional, he can be extremely unpredictable. When he confronted Walter at his house last season, he seemed more than willing to put a bullet between Walter's eyes. And he probably would have if Walt hadn't manipulated him into thinking it was all Gus' doing. Clearly, he is the most conscientious of the group but I wouldn't put it past him to want to kill Walt again if it ever came to it.

Well my German theory may not hold up...

Anybody here watch Suits on USA? Sort of fun to watch Dale be an asshole again.
Has anybody see that Gomey (Hank's right hand) is an Albuquerque native and hosts a once weekly show called The After After Party? Sort of Gilligan pulling a Simon.

The fact that he remembers exactly what Walter's number (the amount of money he'd need to raise to take care of his family) and Walter didn't was very telling. Between that and Jesse catching Walter whistling while he worked after feigning grief for the dead boy have changed how Jesse thinks about Walter.
If you aren't already reading them, I believe this guy has a great weekly breakdown of each episode.

I agree, remember gus told the cartel people "wait until my business with him is finished"

I don't think he's any more unstable than the average person; rather, he's been thrust into some less-than-average situations and dragged along on a roller coaster ride. He really hasn't been in control of his life for the past year (show time), despite what he may think, and what little sanctuary he's had has, for the most part, been taken away from him. Like I said before, I don't think he's any different from most of us; it's just that we haven't been in those situations, so we haven't been pushed that far. If he were to kill Walt, it would be a situation in which he felt he had no other option.

^ I think we can both agree that if anyone deserves to kill Walt, it's Jesse.

Yes, even though Jesse's not even aware of all the reasons why.

An M60 is a full-automatic, belt-fed machine gun, not an assault rifle.

Been out of commission for a few days, but ya, I'm surprised it took someone this long to mention it. It was going to be my first comment.

That open was brilliant. Just music, but in a way it just felt like silence. Somber and yes, frigid as hell. The way it was shot, everything. In my opinion, it was one of the top 10 passages of the entire 5 seasons.

(#1 being that scene with Tuco and his his Uncle at that remote house with Walt and Jesse)

I'm a lifetime member of the NRA, a lawyer, and an asshole. I was compelled to pedantically correct you. It's in my nature.

You could have just said you were American and spared us your life story.

The vast majority of Americans are not lawyers.
