Resteraunt Recommendations for Dallas/Plano/etc

So I live in Allen, which is very nearby to Plano and about 30-40 minutes from the heart of Dallas and I'm always looking for new places to eat at. I have a hard time finding a general consensus online as to great places to eat around my area. Feel free to mention fine-dining suggestions as well as even though I am 17, I plan on a great meal for my 2 year anniversary.

I really like Kenny's Burger Joint which is on Legacy (or Lebanon, I always get them confused) and 121. It's next to the Silver Fox and Cantina Laredo (same parking lot).

I'd also recommend Jinbeh for Benihana style grill. It's a bit bland, but it's nice for the price, and at least when I was back there over the summer the fish was fresh.

Frisco/allen/etc is kind of a restaurant wasteland as far as non-chain places go. I'll let you know if i think of anything else.

Oh, Babe's fried chicken. It's owned by the same guys as Bubba's so it's good. Unless you're a fried chicken snob/'foodie' that wants to complain on yelp about fried chicken being greasy.

ok as far as non-chain restaurants go since u think allen is a wasteland. el grande burrito on greenville is beast, i've had pretty much the whole menu with great reactions on all, even breakfast. then there are two others where they are still family run though there are three locations. terra Mediterranean grill and freds cheese steak. terra is spectacular, fresh ingredients, unlimited supply of freshly warmed pita bread+olives and tomatoes, and the portions are huge; best baklava i've had. then fred's just recently expanded and produces an authentic cheese steak, cheese wiz and all. i also really like lennys subs and jc's burger place. lennys cuts the meat in loads right in front of you to your order, its a stacked fucking sub like a new york deli. then jc's is just big juicy burgers for a good price, burger joints are all about the flavor and jc's has it.

Dunno about Plano. I always liked the lunch barbecue at the Metzger's dairy on Haskell. Dallas reallly isn't a restaurant town. More like just get drunk and hook up town.

I only know about Dallas. Abacus is awesome.... I have never been to Suze, but have heard wonderful things.

I happen to be stationed on a project in Plano for 5 months (been here 2 already) and I can definitely chime in on a couple of great expense report dinners we've had:

- Bob's Steak and Chops @ Legacy - Not overly expensive but pretty good quality meat. Good bar and wine selection
- NAAN Korean and Japanese- Very fresh fish for the sushi and delicious (but doubtful if authentic) Korean BBQ-style food. Waiters are a bunch of dbags, so be warned. This is also in the Legacy Center
- Fireside Pies @ Legacy Center- This place has a few locations in the greater Dallas metropolitan area (or so I'm told). The pizzas had a unique twist to them -- different than the unique twists you'll find at CPK and the like. This isn't exactly fine-dining or an anniversary-celebration venue, but it definitely seemed like a great date spot. Props to them on good beer selection as well (Peroni AND Moretti )
