Knee High Boots w/ Jeans???... Does it work? ::Pics Included:: - Page 2

I say if you like the look, go ahead. You shouldnt restrict yourself to "what's" accpetable or not. Create your own trend. Of course, just because you can doesnt mean everything IS acceptable. Stay away from poofy sleeves please! And capes!

Thanks again for the opinions.

I was actually referring too tucking the jeans into the boots, not having the jeans covering the boots. I agree with the gay thing to some extent, but how the hell can str8 Rockstars get away with it, and not us mere mortals???...

Maybe a pair in black or a different colour from the ones in the pictures maybe???...

I wonder if these would work better. What do you think, w/ Jeans???...

Haptronic from superfuture pulls of the whole jeans tucked in boots look pretty well.

I'd wear the boots with (what else) a bootcut jeans! Those boots are fine with me.

Those over-the-rainbow sneakers... very Bathing Ape! Just say no

Those rainbow shoes might work if you cuff all the way up like messengers do, coupled with some interesting looking sock, especially some solid color(prefereably, dark green).

Take my opinions lightly. I just bought Thai fisherman's pants (aka hippie pants), a tie-dye shirt, and thumb and pinky rings

Brown harness and engineer styles are little softer than going with a black boot. Saying that, if I were "risk" wearing a tall or knee boot outside the jeans, I'd probably go with a lace up logger. Or you could get an english riding style and look like you are on the way to the country. Ppl. will probably ask in that situation where your horse is at.

Do you think it could work, or do you think it would look stupid.

I wear boots often and I do not live in Cowboy Country. In places where they are not the norm, my experience is boots draw attention to you like magnets - and that may take some getting used to. When I first started wearing them, I'd be out with friends and I'd always seemed to get comments about the boots, which ranged from complimentary to derogatory. Now, nobody says anything because they're used to seeing me wear them.

However, with people I don't know (or associates I vaguely know) the comments I get are always favorable. Women seem to always notice and compliment them. When they do, I'll talk about the boots and more often they tell me stories about theirs. Once at work, I had been working with a woman at least an hour on a project when she stopped mid-sentence and said "those are really nice boots you're wearing" just out of the blue.

I definitely think the boots would work. In this day where everyone seems to conform to the fashion other dictate, I love the independent (albeit small) expression wearing boots in public make. Would love to hear how it goes with you.

Thom Yorke is in this month's Spin magazine, and he's tucking his jeans in his boots, which are about shin high, if i remember. Looks pretty good on him.

Dsquared did it for their F/W 2006 runway.

I'm not sure how much I care for it but I'm sure some people could pull it off.
