Ironman 2 - Page 6

Scarlett was hot --- except in the costume.

The movie was quire anti-climatic. The romance felt forced, as there was no sexual tension/flirting between them at all until the end. FFS, he was checking out everyone else (though I can't blame him).

Sartorially, Stark's suits fit weird and made him look fat in the midsection. I also noticed nobody buttoned their jackets. Also, it's weird that everyone wore suits/dinner jackets to an expo keynote. I'd assume the atmosphere at the Stark Expo would be more like an Apple/CES keynote.

Eh....

I went in with low expectations, so I didn't regret it. I thought it was a fairly entertaining action sequel, nothing more. If I'd expected more, I probably wouldn't have liked it at all. It also didn't hurt that my friend and I had dinner and a few cocktails beforehand, either.

I found it to be aggressively stupid. Dialogue was crummy. Plot was threadbare. The action scenes were pretty cool, but the pacing seemed off. Also, there were too many obvious product placements. I've come to expect them in movies, but there was a good 15-20 minutes of needless Avengers nonsense that really took away from the story. So many great actors, such a mediocre movie.

Rockwell made that movie. Downey was great too. Really, just like the first one, it's the acting, the dialogues and the fun angle delivered by Favreau that made this much more enjoyable than a typical superhero movie. Most of the action scenes are boring and a waste of time and money, of course.
