Ah hah! One run a week huh. Funny, that's what they said last year. We were last in the AL in runs, but we still managed to win 85 games. How many did the A's win? Oh yeah, 75... All that offense does you a whole lot of good. May I remind you that Seattle was 14-5 against the A's last year,

Yes you may, it's the first I've heard of it. Isn't your opening day pitcher in jail or something? Caught blowing goats out in Snohomish or some such.

I think you are confusing the Seattle Mariners professional baseball team with the Oregon Ducks college football team. Not surprising since Oakland Athletics "fans" fondly rember the good ole days when M.C. Hammer was the face of the franchise. (He never played for the A's, he was just the bat boy) But I don't expect anyone in Oakland to be able to tell the difference. No, Felix Hernandez is not in Jail. Seattle had the AL's number one pitching staff last year. I know you're jealous. Are you guys still waiting for Justin Duscherer to "come around"? Do you remember a few years ago (the last season he pitched) when he was called for like three balks in four games vs the Mariners? That was funny. This year instead of Jarrod Washburne, we have Cliff Lee. Upgrade much?

He looked all right in his comeback beating the M's 7-1 the other night.

Someone wake me up when Ichiro gets close to 3000 hits. That's the only relevant news coming out of Seattle.

How about a 100% healthy and slimmed down Ken Griffey Jr. hitting 20 HR, batting .285, and driving in 90 RBI in his last year playing baseball?

Ok, that probably won't happen, but it would be a great story.

Yeah, way to totally dominate a spring training game. Luckily we won't have to wait too long to have another shot at him when it actually means something.

Yes, I'll make sure to recommend that he skips that whole HOF thing for a year of power from the DH position (against RH pitching).

:P

He'll always have '98. Anyways Bonds and Mc will form their own hall. Ralph P, Clemens, A-Rod (if you're lucky, maybe he'll wear a M's cap) and all the others cool cats will be invited as well.

I think he had major arm or shoulder problems. IMMSMC he quit baseball and went to culinary school.

By "hall" I mean Pete Rose's basement. Free drinks and hookers and an in house bookie. Will be awesome.

Sounds cool. But I think Pete Rose is living out of his car.
