I've still never figured out if this is a joke or not: http://www.humanleather.co.uk/

That wasn't exactly what I was going for, but I'll bite. If you open up the entirety of animal species you can find nearly everything. I know some primates have communal family structures, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened there. I slept through most of my biology classes, boringgggggg, so I don't remember if we talked about breastfeeding at all. However, their mating habits are aptly described as "random." Regardless, that argument doesn't quite hold up. If you are willing to consume cow's milk, you evidently don't care whether or not the cow gave birth to you.

I don't like most strongly flavored cheeses so I wouldn't eat it, but if I did like them I don't think I'd hesitate.

I could really use a wet nurse right now.

True, but you can not have a personal relationship with a cow the same way you can with another person.

You can quite debatably be able to have a personal relationship with a pet. Many people keep pigs as pets, and pork is acceptably eaten by most cultures. It's fine if you don't want to eat it, but I just think it's crazy to decry human cheese as revolting. In every logical sense, it really isn't, it's just emotionally challenging for some people apparently.

Where should I throw my husbands surprise party? Well I had the idea to throw my husband a surprise party this year for his 31st birthday, and I invited all of his friends, family, and some of my family like 20-30 people, and then I realized that we live in a sardine can basically and there is no yard or anything, or a deck for that matter so outside isn't an option either, but i live in ashland kentucky and there is jack, diddly, and squat around here so i can't say a restaurant is in the picture, can anyone please help me come up with an alternative, anything could be helpful, thanks in advance! ooo...and my budget is pretty small, b/c he's cheap, and he would notice if 2 grand went missing!

As for wet nurses: the invention of the breast pump made this practice obsolete, but it survives in principle in La Leche League.

For all of you that get disgusted by this, you are so disconnected from the natural world.

The invention of a practical replacement, i.e. formula, probably had more to do with it.

Why is this such an issue? Mammals make milk and they also make babies. I guess our babies aren't normally food, so ergo, our milk isn't necessarily food. Not so for the rest of the genus. This chef just accomplished everything he was looking for.

Milk is necessarily food. It's literally all the babies of most mammalian species consume for a period of their life.
