There seems to be a trend for some people to each day religiously brush their teeth in the men's bathroom at work. I was confronted today with a situation. For most of the morning my belly had been rumbling, and I had to do some clenching. Once I got to the men's I thought I could release the fury without any fear of social reprisal when I shocked to see one of my colleagues enthusiastically with brush in hand giving his mouth and teeth a whirl. I think he had half his arm down his throat while frothing toothpaste around his mouth. I left the bathroom without release and my belly continued to rumble. Was this the gentlemanly thing to do? What is the social etiquette in this situation?
