No, mine's a 'healthy' recipe. It's healthy because it's part of my new eat-like-how-you-ate-when you-were-young diet. Everyone knows they were thinner and had more energy as a teenager, so obviously mom's pancakes made them thin and healthy. As soon as mom stops cooking for people, they get fat. This is clear and obvious science.

There is nothing healthy about buttermilk
Buttermilk is healthier than regular milk. You do know it's not made of butter, right?

Well, I quite like my recipe and think it tastes very similar to pancakes (I actually prefer this recipe to a normal pancake recipe most of the time). Also, I like the fact that my recipe has a good protein (cottage cheese and egg whites) and carb mix (oats).

are these pancakes healthier than, say, cooked oat groats, amaranth, millet, and so on? i'd rather eat a fantastic regular pancake once in a while instead of an ok "healthy" pancake more often.

Can't speak for the other people but I prefer my cottage cheese-oatmeal pancakes over regular pancakes by a long shot. They are, however, a bird of a different color.

I prefer the healthy pancakes to the normal variety almost all of the time. However, still do like the others at times.

Eat what you want to eat, I don't care. Just wanted to share a recipe that I like that may be of interest to some people. If it is not of interest then don't eat them.
