I'm a huge fan of BFBC2 (PC).
I believe that he game has greater depth in gameplay than a MW2 type shooter. It also has much more team and goal oriented maps and modes, with the Rush being a very good battle type simulation. The sound is incredible and battles really come alive. There are a wide variety of weapons and gadgets with upgrades, without any one being imbalanced like you often find in MW2. Vehicles, while being a source of great power, can easily be neutralized by just a few players working together with tracer darts, rockets, mines, or C4. Sniping isn't as rampant as previous versions due to the lack of "prone", forcing players to move around more often as it's easier to be spotted. The socialize button, allowing you to mark enemy units for all your team to see (on map as well as on the HUD) also allows you to help curb enemy attacks and notify the team when heavier weapons are needed to take down a tank.
Yes the maps are large but that's mostly to accommodate the use of vehicles and to create a larger theatre, there are smaller maps available as well, with 32 people playing it rarely feels "huge". The game isn't quite as "smooth" as MW2 but I think it adds a gritty feel to the game, with the camera shaking from tank shells and mortar fire to being hit by enemies preventing you from getting a good bead on your target. The squad system helps to really make a cohesive unit, allowing you to spawn on squad mates and gain more points for heals, ammo, repairing, and reviving your members.
My only gripe really is the occasional disconnect from EA online; something that's been going on since launch and still hasn't been fully addressed

In the end, BFBC2 and MW2 are quite different in styles, with BFBC2 providing a larger scale battle simulation which can get very frenzied compared to the more close quarter run and gun of MW2.
I can't wait to unlock the M-14....
