There have been a few threads about this, but im not gonna bring any back from the dead, instead we'll start a new one.

I was wondering what the general opinion is on wearing bandanas with jeans (tucking into back pocket, etc.).

I've though about throwing into my look every now and then (I love the vintage inspired RRL ones), but I can't help thinking people will be like "whats with this kid?"

So I'm looking for some input on this and if some of you wear them, posting pics of how you wear it would be great.

Thanks!

Jesus, first time I've ever heard of any 'hanky code'.

I wear a blue one in my back right pocket (I'm right handed so it makes for easy access) in summers to, go figure, wipe my forehead (which sweats more than my whole body combined).

Thank god no one ever asked me if I was a bottom (wiki navy blue right back pocket code).

Yea I really don't give a **** about any hanky code, If someone interprets it that way then oh well. I just think it can look really good if it's worn a certain way.

lol..Reminds me of when I first moved to SFCA, I was waiting for the bus and some dude strikes up a conversation, "So, are you into water sports?" I said, "you mean like polo?" Thats not what he meant.

Well...some people who may 'interpret' your little hanky may end up shooting you because of it.

Depends on which area you're in, certain colours belong to certain street gangs and you'll either get in trouble with another gang for wearing it or with the gang who 'owns' the colour.

Bandanas have more or less been co-opted by criminal entites for identification purposes. So if you're dressing up in the tough-guy look with a bandana sticking out just make sure you can back it up.

I distinctly remember a couple kids in my high school way back when getting paid a painful visit by some people because they were rockin' a certain colour in an attempt to look cool.

Also, the elc Men's stock photos show the model wearing a flannel hanky in his pocket. I've not considered it, but I guess it's an accessory like any other, so why not.

I do like sticking a handkerchief into my backpocket, but I usually keep it neutral with a white hanky or a patterned one (that isn't paisley)
