Philip Seymore Hoffman was great in Along Came Polly. No one else was any good, but it was worth it for PSH.

"Dude, we gotta get outta here. I just sharted."
"Rainmaker!"

Rushmore is one of my favorite movies. Life Aquatic, I was lukewarm on the first viewing, but the second time I really loved it.

The scene in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels where Steve Martin pretends to be Caine's demented little brother is priceless.

I'm with FB on Holy Grail. It will always hold a special place in my and my friends' hearts, but it's not something that I watch much any more. I do like a good Flying Circus with some regularity though.

This thread has been keeping me up at night. I CANNOT decide between Waiting For Guffman and Pink Flamingos. They are both so brilliant in their own ways.

Funniest film for cineastes: Buster Keaton's "College" (1927 silent film) - saw it in a packed cinema about 10 years ago and have never laughed so hard and so frequently!

Funniest film for guilty pleasure: Kingpin (dunno, but this this just cracked me up bid time!)

Most unintentionally funny films - anything with Adam sandler and Pauly Shore.

Oh, whoever mentioned Funny Games?

Amen brother, I just scrolled through this thread looking for that. That movie had me in tears. It still does when I watch it again.

I also liked the Monty Python movie, forget the name, was it "Meaning of Life? The one where they sing "Every sperm is precious, every sperm is good, if a sperm is wasted, God will be perturbed," and they have the students vs. faculty rugby game. Funny stuff.

i was just reminded of the outtakes at the end of Grumpy Old Men where Burgess Meredith is riffing out all these euphemisms for getting laid. hilarious.

Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's slipping her the old salami!
Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's taking the skin boat to tuna town!
Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's going put the hot dog in the bun!
Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's going for a ride on the wild baloney pony!
Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's a tom cat on the prow - meow!
Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's taking the ol' log to the beaver!
Grandpa: Looks like he's gonna enter the holy of holies! Coitus Uninterruptus!
Grandpa: Looks like Chuck's gonna bury his boner!

Matthau: If I knew there was going to be a nude scene in this picture I would've asked for another million.

I saw Thank You For Smoking a few months ago, it was quite clever. Let's not forget Dogma, either. I can't think of another movie that makes you think "this is so wrong, I love it" as much.
