honestly, this movie might be outdated and though i haven't read through the last 8 pages of this thread, i presume no one has mentioned it yet ---- BUT, personally, the movie which makes me laugh the hardest is "Pure Luck", starring Martin Short and Danny Glover. its a bloody riot of slapstick perfection!

Lebowski gets my vote, too.

While Groundhog Day is my all time favorite, there is one in my top 5 which hasn't been mentioned yet. The Gods Must Be Crazy

I recall find TGMBC very funny, but I haven't seen it in, what - 20 years or so? I wonder if it would hold up now.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Laurel and Hardy yet. The Music Box is a particular favourite - L&H as piano deliverymen.

Harold Lloyd is also great. Safety Last is his best known film.

Van Wilder
McDoogle: I've been waiting all these years for you to realize your potential.
Van: That's why you and I had friction? God, I always thought it was because I fooled around with your daughter freshman year.
McDoogle: Why, what... You fooled around with my daughter?!
Van Wilder: What?

"She reads at a sophomore level."

Or the Marx Brothers for that matter. One of my choices, The Imposters, is very much in that vein.

I'm pretty sure Duck Soup is on the list somewhere.

It does for me, maybe the quotes link from IMDB will refresh your memory. I have always loved the "lady in the lunch room" quote.
