Post what you have, and what you are looking for....feel free to make constructive criticism, suggestions on how to improve the format, etc. If people feel this is better suited to "general chat" or the "home/fine living" thread I can move it. For example-- Location: Austin, TX Bedrooms: 3 (single/single/king) Bath:2 full Smoking: No, but allowed outside only Sq Ft: 1600 about: Located in walkable, historic neighborhood 1.2 miles from center of downtown, .25 miles from Town Lake with running trails, etc and 1 mile from Barton Springs natural spring pool. ( post photos) Ideal dates: Oct 2-9th 2010/ march 13-18th 2011 Preferred destinations: NYC, but open to all offers Travelling with: wife and child.

Cool idea. I was at one point signed up for this online community called couch surfing where you essentially do this, less actually giving up your own home. Never actually experimented either hosting or using someone elses couch, but apparently it has quite a following.

Perhaps you're better off with craigslist. Have you considered renting out your home for SXSW? I'm getting 2x my monthly rent for the 11-22nd.

Hey Kent, we rented out for ACL Fest for something ridiculous like 2K for 4 days. Honestly, I'm not that interested in doing this myself, I just started the thread because one didn't exist and I thought maybe others would get something out it.
