Autoclave. Can't recommend that it'll come out looking the same.

Good way to completely ruin a shaving brush that probably cost a hundred bucks.

I believe that to lengthen the usability of your shaving brushes, wash the shaving brush after using and then let it air dry. It is much better if you have a shaving brush stand.
And do not let others use your shaving brush.

Im pretty sure that was a joke

It would be funny if the OP went out and bought a $1000 autoclave and ruined his $12 tweezerman though

Yeah, I do want to get a stand. I am sure it helps to let it dry upside down to more water falls out.

not really, Water evaporates up. I don't think it matters either way as long as you shake it out.

Water could built at the bottom of the bristles that might otherwise fall out if hung upside down.

Correct. Capillary action ensures that your brush will still dry just as well sitting on its base as it would hanging upside down on a stand. Shaking the brush after you use it, and lightly buffing against a towel is all you need to do. I have 3 brushes, and on cleaning day I clean all 3 at once. One gets hung, the others have to sit on their base to dry. Although I haven't timed it, when I come back to check on them a few hours later, all 3 brushes are bone dry.

If so, I wouldn't worry about it. Badgers are so badass that their hair has the natural ability to kill bacterium upon contact. You've seen what Badgers can do to snakes, imagine what they can do to smaller creatures.

They tried making shaving brushes out of honey badger hair but stopped after they found the lead scientist cowering in a corner with badger bite marks on his hands and face and the honey badger hair shaving brush smoking a cigarette in bed with his wife.
(I just wanted to post this video, the honey badger is bad to the bone)

If your water is actually boiling you can mess up the glue that holds the bristles in the brush.
