T10 1L here.

I've always thought it would be cool to have someone like Oscar Acosta/Dr. Gonzo to accompany me while I engage in all sorts of antics, so I'd be willing to give you an interview.

I can't pay you, and you probably wouldn't be able to put any of our experiences on a resume. But I live in Athens, GA, so I can offer you all the bars and hot co-eds you can handle.

Seriously though, good luck. I hear it's pretty brutal out there for law students.

Can you wash dishes? That's about the level of responsibility they'd give you anyway...

^^^ lol. I'm a 3L interning during the semester and about 50% of what I do could be done by a 15 yr old.

If you really want experience you should try to intern for a judge, prosecutor, or something similar. Something where you really have to do research and maybe even get your hands dirty. Then again, that's not a viable option for most 1L's, usually only 2L or 3L. If you're OK with not getting paid, talk to smaller practicioners. You could get real experience with them and then talk up everything you did to make up for the fact that it wasn't a huge firm.

Plus, you never know, some small firm practitioners might have big firm contacts.

I can put out some feelers on the Princeton Law alumni listserv. I'll let you know if anyone needs an intern.

I think Conne might be able to hook you up with a few Senators seeking an illegal intern.
