I heard back from him sometime late last week. He is behind. I'm guessing too many orders.

I'm trying to be patient as well. He's making me a 2 belts, one of whic his a custom rerpo job and the last I heard was that he was going to start over the weekend (this was about a month ago) and that he'd email me if he needed anything clarified. I'm just waiting patiently and sice I haven't paid anything yet, as is his MO, there's no pressure.

I am getting increasingly excited to see the belts though

I'm also waiting on a wallet that we finished discussing a weekend or so ago...staying patient as he's been very in touch regarding everything so far, but have not heard back from him in a while. I def want the wallet we discussed...hopefully it works out soon.

This is my feedback on my ordering process with Scott. I initially got in touch with Scott in mid January to have a wallet made. After agreeing on the details Scott gave me an estimated time of completion of around mid to late February. No payments had been made at this time. Since I had not heard back from Scott I emailed him in the middle of March to get an update. I still did not hear back from him and I assumed that Scott had just forgotten about the order and I just let it go. Then this past Monday I received an email with pics of the wallet from Scott stating that the wallet was ready. He included pictures and offered to knock off $10 due to the delay. Needless to say I happily accepted and I've receivedthe USPS notification that the item is being shipped. So, the moral of the story is to just be patient. Scott's really a great guy to deal with and is probably just backed up due to the avalanche of orders.

^ Yes, its seems there's a surprise factor going on. I was dissatisfied after receiving my first belt and then Scott emailed me a few days later with another belt! I received the new one in the mail yesterday and I've been happily wearing it!

Good news everyone! This is unrealated to acts of scientific discovery and invention, but I DID just get a reply and pics of the two belts I ordered from scott! They will be shown off as soon as I am in receipt of them.

More unlucky belt photos here.

Two belts. An horsehide SC repro and a light burgundy steerhide.

Well after tracking my package all week, waiting for my new wallet, a box finally arrived today from UT. Unfortunately, the contents inside were not what I was expecting. So, who has my wallet, and who was expecting this belt to arrive? looks like a 36" EDIT: situation rectified.

FWIW, he's very good at conflict resolution

I don't doubt that Scott will eventually make this right. What concerns me is that I've gone a while without getting a response from him before and I'd like to get this figured out ASAP. If someone else has my item, I'd rather just coordinate to ship our stuff to eachother rather than us both return to scott and then then have him correct the orders and send back out, thus doubling (tripling really) transit time.

This belt is gorgeous and thick though. I will probably end up having something similar made for myself after this is taken care of!
