Out of curiosity, do you happen to remember which models/fabric that one was? TML has quite a few different slim fit lines up on their site these days, and I'm curious how the shrinkage issues play out better or worse across those lines.

Thanks!

I don't have experience with either of those particular shirts but the TM Lewin slim fit shirts fit me very well. I do know that the collar on Express Medium dress shirts is too large for me as well. I usually wear a 15/34 and am 6 feet tall, 150 pounds. With TM Lewin shirts I usually order a 15.5/34.5 to account for shrinkage at they work perfectly. Just so you know Lewin has an excellent return policy and should you not be satisfied with your purchase you just return the shirts using the preprinted label already included in the box. The only real cost to you would be the 8 pounds for shipping to you should you decide to return the shirts. I would highly recommend that you give them a try though because 5 shirts for 88 pounds is the best deal I've seen on shirts of similar quality. By the way my total for 5 shirts after shipping came out to $126.09. That's barely $25/shirt!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to give them a try, it does sound like a decent deal.

One more question, if you don't mind... How are their sleeves? That's what usually pisses me off in slim fit shirts. Even if the body fits OK, the sleeves are humongous for some ungodly reason...

Thanks!

Thanks, that would be awesome. Also, can you let me know how much fabric is pinched in the darts? I'll be taking them out and don't want to have a noticeable difference in fit after doing so.

Just want to be absolutely sure before I place an order. Thanks!!

I just received 4 slim fit shirts, sized 15.5/34.5, and they fit wonderfully. To be fair, I have not yet washed them, but if they shrink slightly after a cold wash/hang dry, they should be great.

I paid $159 for four shirts delivered to NY (no code used; the order was about 3 weeks ago). At just under $40 a shirt delivered, I think the quality is great.

I realize that I can't give a full assessment until they've gone through the wash, etc., but compared to my other OTR shirts (I have two regular fit and two slim fit Pink shirts, a handful of BR, etc.) these fit the best BY FAR.

Oh and, yes, they a darted.

Ordered 5 with the code today, can't beat the price for some work shirts and the slim fit fits me reasonably well.

After comparing a slim fit with a regular version, the dart seems to be the only thing that makes the shirt slimmer. The arms are the same and if you were to let out the darts the width would be the same on both shirts. The slim fits just have shorter tails but other than that they seem to be exactly the same.

I believe the fabric you go with on Lewin shirts also plays a large factor in the amount the shirt shrinks. I have a pinpoint shirt where the collar shrunk rather noticeably, probably between 2/8 to 3/8 of an inch. But I also poplin and twill shirts where the shrinkage was more minimal. The best advice I have for somebody buying Lewin shirts is just to go up and half size in the collar and select your usual arm legnth. If you are a fan of the extreme cutaway spread collar, the St. James line, which was recently launched had some great additions over the last couple weeks. There are now 20 some shirts to choose from in the St. James line, including all the basics.

Did you wash in cold and hang to dry?

Care to post pictures? I will post some when I get my order, just so people know what to expect in the future. I'm 5'10, 165 lbs. What are you? I have a Hugo Boss slim fit 15.5 shirt that I absolutely love. It's a little tight in the chest, but otherwise perfect. The measurements that the TM Lewin support staff sent me were approximately 4 inches wider measured laying flat on the ground (so make it 8 inches circumference) for the waist and the chest. So I'm expecting to be disappointed. By the way, how are the sleeves? Bulky or slim fitting? Thanks! Edit: By the way, for washing, I wash shirts by hand in cold water and lay flat to dry on my bed. I'm still waiting for a shirt to shrink on me.

I'm 5'10, 161, 40" chest/32" waist. I will try and post some pics, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to get to that soon (my wife and I have our first child due in just under 8 weeks and we're, um, a little busy getting ready)

The sleeves are great. I have pretty solid upper arms (weightlifting), so YMMV, but these shirts fit better than any other OTR shirts I've tried.

I think they'll fit even better if they shrink just a little bit in the wash (e.g., I can fit two fingers in the collar, but they *just* fit), and I'm hoping that cold water/air dry will do what I need.
