Rag & Bone wax workcoat - Page 3

I'm honestly rather shocked that you tried to dryclean a waxed jacket, but I'm really only more surprised that they actually put that on the care tag. You can hand wash one in mildly warm water with mild detergent, but harsh chemicals are just not a good idea. Check out the thread on the waxed denim jacket for an idea of how to wax cloth. It's time consuming and possibly a little dangerous, but it should help. Or, you know, you could just mail it to me.

I probably should have known better, but seriously :P why put that shit on the tag if its going to do all that. I bet sticking the shit in the washing machine would have been less brutal.

On the delicate cycle, it may well have been. Waxed cloths are very durable but in many ways very sensitive. I still have trouble believing they actually put that on a care tag. They'd better replace it or repair it for you.
