Here's a shot of the new "Merona" (Target) skull & crossbones, sitting next to a similar version by Polo (which I purchased about 10 weeks ago...with an MSRP $18/pr). Guess which socks are more comfortable (by far)...and fit the best (by far)...and launder the best (I've worn the Polo's twice and you can see that they're already starting to show pilling...and that's with my line drying method!). 
Kinda makes you wonder about the mark-up some manufacturers are making on socks...eh? Now don't get me wrong. I love many of my expensive socks and the majority of them were worth every penny (My Missoni socks are probably the overall best example..extraordinary socks). But I've got quite a few others that simply do not perform as well as these $2.50 Merona socks from Target!! Dennis
