Take my ties... Please

I have run out of room on my revolving tierack from Sharper Image. This is not really an accomplishment, since I don't put them on every hook, only on every other hook. Nevertheless, I decided to throw out some ties (only polyester ones I had to buy on a hurry in an emergency) and I didn't have the heart to throw out these four, although I've only worn them exactly once each. My proposal: I will send these to whoever would like it (but all together, since I do not want to do four separate mailings) for $1 each, for a total of $4, which includes shipping and handling. However, they must pay by paypal upon successful receipt of the ties. US addresses only. The reason I'm doing this is because I want a few dollars in my paypal account so that I can buy online coupons from Ebay, but not have to connect my bank or CC to paypal... still don't really trust them. Anyway, here they are. Please only say you'll take them if you are actually opening yourself to the possibility of wearing them. I think they are wearable, it's just that they don't work for me (reasons below) and I want them to go to a decent home. Since I don't quite like the "first person to email" thing, I will pick by random lottery, of the people that PM by the next time I check SF, which will probably be in the morning. The lottery will be independently audited by Pricewat... wait, sorry. Wrong lottery. Without further ado, here's the picture: Left to Right: 1. Jhane Barnes. Black with funny rectangles with smaller funny rectangles inside them. Just not my style. Tied a decent knot for me, though. 2. Banana Republic. It's like Lime-Green in color, has a sheen, and has these funny woven diamond-like pattern. Bought it new from BR outlet and wore it once. I think there's a few snags, as it's a delicate silk, but nothing bad. 3. Hickey Freeman. It's "vintage," Extra-long, and wide (about 4 or 4.25"). Got this at a thrift shop when I didn't have that many ties and actually thought I'd wear it. There's no interlining in the tip; ends about 3" up from the tip. Interesting tie, but not for me. Yellow with Navy. 4. RLPL. Got this at Camarillo Outlet Polo Store in CA instead of getting a black polka dot. This is because I am a moron. You think I'm being too hard on myself, but they were priced all at $2.50 each, and there were about six different patterns. I got only two. You'd think any reasonably intelligent person would just take them all, but nooooo, some faulty logical mechanism in my brain said, "this is going to weigh down your luggage when you're flying back to NY." Yup, I know. Moron. At least I have a green polka dot I like very much. The reason I'm giving this away is because it doesn't seem to suit my skin tone, and it ties a bad knot for me, as it's too narrow (and I'm a bit tall) to make a good FIH. It's a very bright green with rather big white dots. So yes. PM me. It's $4! Cheap! And you don't have to pay until you get the goods! Thanks.

What's he/she gonna use 'em for?

I like the lime green polka dot one. Have a similar tie from Talbott; got my picture taken wearing it once.

Actually, I wasn't selling the suspenders. I like them very much. (thanks, Norcaltransplant!).

I believe (and hope) that the winner would at least consider wearing them. But I suppose being a belt is not a bad fate... nor is it being used a rope on a bedpost... perhaps a blindfold... perhaps (etc. etc.)

Yes, I will definitely wear the ties for their given purpose. No belt-ties for me. When I get them, and find that some aren't to my taste in actuality, I will definitely offer them to forum members for free.

I thought tie-belts were a female fashion thing...

I believe it was a Fred Astair thing, then it was a jcrew thing, then all the east coast prep kids thing, now it's just a passé thing.
