And you call 75% wrestling fans morons? Occasionally I'll flip through and watch a few minutes (I used to watch as a young kid) and the dialogue and story lines are without a doubt the most assinine I've ever seen. The WWE literally makes The Fast and the Furious look like Shakespeare. I'm sure there are some highly cultivated people like you watching wrestling, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a notch below Nascar. It's not like metal where I hate most of the fans... I hate the fans and I hate the game.
Porn stars don't really entertain me.. but sucking .... doesn't take much talent, nor does taking it up the ... That's coming from someone that has done neither, and I'm sure it requires more effort than I think, but I don't think you'll be seeing them doing 450s any time soon. I still watch some (very little) WWE programming - I used to watch quite a bit more but they've fallen quite a bit in the last 5 years. The writing in WWE currently is freaking horrendous with characters like "The Boogeyman.." (ugh). Needless to say, when the Vince McMahon / SCSA era was going on, or the Rock was popular, the storylines were pretty entertaining and the dialogue was pretty damned funny. That's terribly funny to me about Nascar.. it's the same thing 500 times. People go to get drunk and watch the last 10 laps. I realize that pro-wrestling fans, for quite some time, consisted of mostly southern rednecks (like Nascar) for lack of a better term. Times have changed - the people that you will find watching my favorite promotion, Ring of Honor, are seemingly well-educated 20-35 year olds, much like the membership of this board. I say that 75% of wrestling fans are morons because most of them cannot appreciate the actual "wrestling" per se, portion of what these guys do; hence, you hear people saying that John Cena (who is more of a bodybuilder/actor than a wrestler) is a better wrestler than RVD. Blasphemy.
But I digress - I also find c**n more offensive than n*gger. I couldn't tell the poster was being sarcastic at all. Sarcasm.. another one of those speech things lost in colloquialisms and text.
Edit: I love the internet and I love this forum. From LV -> hip-hop/race -> pro-wrestling.
