I recently picked these up (pair on left):



and I would have bought these if they had my size:

I rock them with jeans and it looks awesome.

Rocking these with jeans in the summer, gonna buy some clarks later

I'd got some Sperry Topsiders in the classic brown, but I feel a douche wearing them. I bought them last summer and wore them once.

Summer coming up here, and when I look at them they make me feel like I would look like douche wearing them around town... What gives?


If im not on a boat, or near a boat, how do I wear them and not look the biggest douche bag in the city?

I don't know man, that's the anomaly of Sperry. Some people look gorgeous wearing it and the others aren't so lucky. It could be face related. If you look tough or thuggish then it won't work. Post your pic here maybe?

what are these (top left)? an how much/where to buy?

I've got a pair of canvas Sperry's that I've worn for two years. Love them a lot, but I'm looking for a pair of leather ones now (brown or blue). Should I go with Sperry or Sebago?

I'd go with sebago, although they are pretty similar and it depends what you are looking for. I like sebago because they're leather is a little bit thicker and tougher so they maintain their original shape and resist creasing longer than sperrys.

However, if you like the broken in boat shoe look, sperrys would be better. In terms of styling they're almost identicle though

These are about as grail as it gets- John Lobb Arima's, in burnt orange. Probably shouldn't take them anywhere near actual bodies of water though:
