Fake versace/fake gucci

hello all. I purchased a pair of Versace and Gucci Jeans off of eBay. It recently came to my attention that there were fakes going around, and I wanted to get some details. Here is the descriptions, hopefully someone has some insight. Both jeans came in their respective plastic sealed bags, both had price tags and brand tags attached to the jeans. They have tags inside with the brand names, as well as size tags inside, all in Italian. the metal studs on the pockets all have either the medusa logo or say gucci italy. Any thoughts?

Are the fonts on the labels correct? (Meaning "Versace" isn't printed in Arial Bold and "Gucci" isn't in Comic Sans)

The tags inside look real. Similar fonts to other versace I have had. Dont own other Gucci, so I dont know. But they're definitely not in those fonts.

Best bet is to head out to a local Saks or other store that sells Gucci jeans and inspect their clothes to see what the real thing looks like.

Both sound authentic, but again, I would check. I doubt the versace's are fake as they aren't that expensive to begin with. I've seen them for $50 at Harry Rosen. The Gucci's are hard to say as they are a bit more rare and harder to find. May I ask how much you paid for each?

I paid $100 for each pair.

Try and post pics if u can and I will know. Many jeans by Gucci and Versace offered on eBay are fake, especially if they come in bag which looks very simlar for both brands. Many of the fakes have fake tags and labels too. With Versace you may be safe as the ratio of fakes to genuine is a safer 50/50 in my experience. Gucci is another thing altogether. Gucci do NOT make jeans with silver G on back patch. Gucci jeans ONLY have a simple black patch with Gucci made in Italy indented on leather so hardly seen. Another test is the seam on inside leg - athere should be the signature red/green thread or material evident. On eBay, I estimate 95% of "Gucci" jeans to be fake - you can tell coz all the Silver G patched ones are offered everywhere.

Wait a minute...so you're telling me that these Jeans aren't real? The manufacturer's tags look soooo real though, I was almost fooled.

He's also selling these gorgeous Burrberry jeans that seem to share some DNA with the Gucci ones

Yeah, I saw those too. I think its hilarious that he's got the EXACT same jeans with different fabrics sewn onto the pockets. His feedback rating is close to perfect, but then again I doubt many of his customers have actually seen the real goods (or care that they are getting fakes).

See all of those are silly looking and clearly fake. Mine look legit. They are plain dark blue jeans, tags in the right spot, label in the back. I have worn these for a couple years now. Such a disappointment that they are fakes.

alaaro - The jeans are irrefutable FAKE. (1) GG logi is wrong font (2) offering exact style with Burberry patch for god's sake. (3) offering fake Gucci tee-shirts - font all wrong. see: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....7554744 (4) Notice no claims of authenticity in listing? (5) "only a few pairs left"? more like a warehouse. (6) Fake feedback - once a fake seller nearly always a fake seller. VersaceMan - the linked jeans are as above - obviously fake. Also, if u have silver "G" on your jeans they are fake. Look closely and u will see that even the GUCCI writing is the wrong font. Look closely at the badge pics of the following styles - they are all fake. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=11483 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=11483 (the most common fakes - these are everywhere on eBay). Here is the authentic badge on 2 items  - can be black like this or Beige ONLY. If u don't have this patch ur jeans are fake. (notice only these two genuine items offer GUARANTEED AUTHENTICITY?) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=11483 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=46810

What does that mean? Sure some Versace jeans are cheap, but there is a huge range (about 150 designs per season). Anyway, if they are real or not; if the Gucci tag on the back is a natural finish leather, which is begining to patina, they are real, the studs should be marked, Gucci, and they should have no Gucci label inside, the care tag should indicate either made in japan, or made in italy. Gucci tags (the ones which you pull off look quite fake, even though they are real). Besides Gucci only have about 2-4 pairs of jeans per season, so take a look at the styles, perhaps at firstlook.com or b-forza.com. For the Versace ones, if they are quite a recent collection, e.g. less than 3 years old, then they should have Ittiere S.p.A. Pettoranello di Molise-ISERNIA Italy tag. Or Made in IT, with a hologram strip tag. That is if they are Versace Jeans Couture. However, if they are Versus, then they may be Ittiere again, or they may be Atlas S.p.A., If they are Gianni Versace Couture, they will only be Atlas S.p.A.

Actually not all Gucci jeans have the "Made in Italy" on the leather tag. I have a pair, with the big embroidered g on the back pocket, which have a simple beige leather patch just stamped Gucci. Like I said before if you have high end stores around you go and check out legit clothes first hand, or try to find reliable online sites that have decent pics of the merch.

Actually I think you are incorrect, as the Gucci Product Specification Guide says so (ie. Must have circled R symbol, foloowed by GUCCI and then MADE IN ITALY all with their own special font sizes and scales). Hate to tell you this Timothy, but the jeans u have mentioned are fake. Just because u bought them from a high-end store does not make them genuine. There have been several instances where deprtment stores have been caught out and they try to cut costs.  Remember Gucci's total production of jeans is exceptionally small and most non-Gucci stores would barely get 2 pairs.  So why do see heaps of these "G" embroidered jeans on eBay? You don't have to believe me - wear your jeans into ur local Gucci store and get the manager to check them out.   If they are the ones with the very "G" embroidered on the back pocket they are irrefetuably fake.  Like these - these are fake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=11483 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=11483 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=15679 I'll say this again - back patch can ONLY be beige or Black, and MUST say "GUCCI made in Italy" with the "R" symbol for registered.  When u go into ur Gucci store they will have a file to pull out with all the speicifications for clothing - in Gucci Jeans section you will see the conditions for authentic Gucci jeans (and patches, seams, rivets, etc). These are genuine (with beige pacth): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=11483
