Nas - The entire Illmatic Album specifically NY state of mind, and on his later stuff 'Made ya look' is a good song.
Jay Z - Reasonable doubt Album + songs like 1-900 Hustler, People Talkin' and the Blueprint 3 is good.
Biggie Smalls - Ready To die and Life after Death Albums
Tupac - The Heartz of men

Well I'm guessing you already have Mobb Deep's The Infamous, so you might want to check out these albums: Showbiz and AG - Goodfellas GZA - Liquid Swords Souls of Mischief - '93 til Infinity Big L - Lifestyles of da Poor and Dangerous Big Pun - Capital Punishment O.C. - Word...Life Kool G. Rap - 4,5,6 Xzibit - At the speed of Life ras kass - Soul on Ice These are just some highlights from the 90's, primarily east coast, most have minimalist beats
