Khaki colored suit for year yound?

Gentlemen, I'm looking for a lighter color suit to add. I wear suits primarily from Sept to May with the academic calendar. Where should I be looking? Solid cotton poplin or wool? I'm leaning toward a solid khaki /tan, 2B, single vent, nothing flashy, just a good, durable work suit.
Is this a viable color for most of the year? Suggestions appreciated.
Thanks, dprof

I don't think khaki works in winter. Taupe maybe. And it would have to be wool, of course.

What's the weather like in OK in the winter months?

Even in the South a khaki suit is ok in sprint, summer and fall but not winter.

OKC typically has a few cold spells. Halloween, Thanksgiving, late Feb. If it snows, it on the ground for a day, thats about it.

I would not wear a khaki suit in the winter, even here in Arizona where it probably stays warmer than OKC.

It just doesn't work.

A light colored wool suit should be ok for warm days though.
