Image quality on the Panasonic is better but not by a huge margin.

It all comes down to your convenience tolerance since the S90/S95 is much easier to carry around.

I have an LX3, while I love it, if I had to do over, I'd pick the S95 since it can just fit in my pocket.

Right now, my trusty Nikon D80 + nifty fifty.

I'll probably upgrade the body eventually, but for now it's just fine and still produces some quality shots. My next big purchases will be for accessories like a tripod (expensive) or some really nice lenses like a super-wide and telephoto (uber-expensive).

Pentax K-x with the 18-55mm Kit lens and two old KA lenses one 50mm f1.8 and the other 75-200mm f4.

Eventually going to buy the 300mm digital auto lens.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:L:LCA:US:1123 shameless plug Anyway, I am having someone sell a kit I bought off of a member from here. It just never gets used. The package is a Canon Rebel XSi (450D) with lots of lenses/extras. Everything is used and 9.5+/10. The reserve is set at $799 and is a steal at that price. Honestly, someone with some spare time could easily piece off the extras and make a few hundred dollars. 1 Canon Rebel 450D body only 1 Canon 430X Flash 1 Canon EF 28-105mm F2.8 LD Lens 1 Canon EF 50mm 1.8 Lens 1 Canon EFS 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 Lens 1 Tamron 28-105mm F2.8 LD Lens 2 Canon Lens Hoodss 1 8g SDHC card 2 Batteries with chargers 1 Battery Pack 1 Camera carrying case 1 Total Cargo carry bag (All items fit nicely in this large pack) Cables Lens cleaning wipes
