Wow, I had no idea that a 59' Les Paul went for that much back in 2008. I thought they capped out at about $150k.

On the more reasonable end 1950 Martin 00-18's were selling for $3,000+ and now they are back down to $1,800 or so.

Now's my chance for a 59 Paul then!

Not. Still, maybe now's the time to get a 50's 350. You've got an ES-5, right?

Yep. 1956. Same year as Carl Perkins. One of 39 made that year in natural.

Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton both love those guitars. I had a chance at one once but it had neck issues frown.gif

I wonder what a good one would go for now?????

I should be getting my Les Paul back from the shop tomorrow. I had Burstbucker Pros put in it as well as rewired 50's style. I also got all of the pots changed to 500k's and caps replaced with Paper in Oils.

Review coming soon.

This one, known as the Jimmy Reed twin is pretty cool. They have necks like the working end of a baseball bat.

I have one of these, but it's the Silvertone version. Sunburst with white pickguard and crown design inlaid in the pickguard. Very cool looking, but unfortunately these don't have a truss rod, so thanks to Texas weather the action on mine has gone to ffffuuuu.gif and I need to have the neck reset.

Yeah I love Page's that he uses in It Might Get Loud. Although I think his is a custom shop, not a vintage, which is pretty cool.

It is a Custom Shop. He said he bought it in mid-200's and loves it.

Here are a few pics of some well known 350's and 350T
