How's playing your new beast going, Foo?

Well, I suck, but that is not the guitar's fault. I'll take photos tomorrow.

It's about the fun not about the suckage. That little riff from the start of Crazy Train is giving my pinky cramps. Sixteen notes in second position and four of 'em are with the pinky at the fifth fret.

My first guitar teacher was a big sabbath fan.

Never learned the crazy train riff but I can still play the beginning of paranoid from muscle memory 15 or so years later. Still remember the riff from iron man but that's different (I.e. I actually listen to that song on occasion)

Dude--you have to come over and try these pedals.

i suck normally, but especially suck on your guitar. Booth and I were talking about LP vs. Strat board, and the differences are pronounced enough to make it a whole different experience.

Foo, what's the low down on your patch cords?

No idea. The shop gave me a free Fender pedal connector chord with the Wren and Cuff. The amp-to-pedal chord is a Lava cable and the pedal-to-guitar cable is some boutique brand I can't remember.

Beautiful figured top. Love the depth of the flame.

The tops today are more consistent and better matched than they were on most original '59 and '60's. The originals had more character flaws. So you can argue that they are actually better made in 2014 than 1959. Of course you probably won't win that argument with anyone who just spent $180-$250K for an original '59. smile.gif

Would it be stupid to buy a 61 Fender Concert and add a jack to it so I could use it as a 4x10 cabinet in the studio for my heads instead of buying a Marshall 4x12 or 4x10?
