I just paid for a Goldtop, the Duane Allman to my maple Clapton strat, and just needed the Layla amp to go with. Ridiculous.

I love Tweed Champs. Amazing the number of classic hits that used Champs for recording, especially for solos. Steve Miller said "A Tweed Champ and a Les Paul Jr. is the sound of Rock'n Roll".

this is terrible advice. The proper response is "Get the Marshall Bluesbreaker amp as well".

not that much. My DSL is from like 2001 or something. The amp I crave is from 1987.

the oldest in my father and I's shared stable is a Fender from 1965, but that was my grandfather's. The next is a 1983 Marshall 800.

and a barn. er, a jam room.

it's actually a good amp to showcase the outrageous prices people on ebay are setting starting bids or BIN at. I see two for sale, one with a cab for $6500 and one without for $3575.

Guitar Center has two for around $2000 each.

Mostly insane. Just mostly. You can score some sweet deals otherwise, and it's how I scored my 401 and some pedals on the cheap.

One must prowls those sites with great care.

Very patient I think. I see stuff daily at or above retail for beat to shit items. The local pawn shops on craig's seem to be the worst for this.
