the blonde one i had was probably the best playing guitar ive owned....neck was different...tone was different, everything. I dont know what had been done to it..i bought it from a consignment shop. The other sheratons were good, but i still cant figure what was so different about my first one.

I use Zhangbucker pickups. They are insane. I would ask David at Zhang, or opt with Bare Knuckle Mules.

I have that GX Epi and the Vox VT80+ in a Zzounds.com shopping cart. Guitar not in stock until 4/11. I won't pull a trigger until I can get instant gratification.

I thought maybe I would cash in some AMEX points to help me along. They have the Vox VT40+ but for some reason not the 80 that I want. As far as guitars go they only have some fugly Ibanez.

the 40 (assuming the 40 vs. 80 is mostly watts) is way more than enough.

Turns out I'll be playing some lead blues guitar at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer - yikes. Time to practice a ton...

Okay, have enough AMEX points to get the VT40+ (yes, the "40" vs. "80" is more or less wattage) and this guitar: http://www.zzounds.com/item--IBARG350DX How horrible is that guitar? They only have Ibanez electric and that's the only one I have enough points for with the amp.

Gents, I want to effectively practice more theory as I don't remember much from my piano days as a kid...

If I wanted to get into jazz and improv, what are some things I can reference?

^^^^ A vintage LP Jr. is the sound of Rock n'Roll.....especially through a tweed Champ Amp
