NOBD, have you tried beige laces with your pair? In line with the welt, they might bring some swell contrast for the dark suede.

1940's J&M Handmades. Closed channel sole is angle cut (ala Vass)... a neat little detail.

I got some reddish-brown laces with them (about the same shade as the sole), but haven't tried them yet. I'll try. I like the idea of that contrast, but maybe it will be too much for me. We're already talking about blue shoes with red soles smile.gif.

I was wearing a pair of shoes today a bit like those black spade brogues 6 up you posted above.

I got them off meister. They might even have come from you?? I forget.

They are semi spade, 6 up black brogues. Slightly pointy toe not really gunboats.

I like them.
