Nice. Is that the camera angle or your feet are *REALLY* narrow?

Thanks guys. Part camera angle, part elongated last. Fits great though

Something about those boots brings to mind the term 'StoBtruppen'. But In a good way. In any case they look very 'authoratative'. Groovin' on the chalk stripes too.

That's the 107 right? Was very long but I went for an 11.5 in it.

NORE, those look very nice.

Are they a true grey, or was the color originally lighter?

Looking good NORE. Regarding the balmoral, I too picked up the size 11.5. Fits great albeit a little long

edit- Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
That's what she said

NORE, didn't you buy those just recently? Already resoled? WTF?

The shoes above may have too much toe spring from an aesthetic or stylistic perspective but without examining them more closely and comparing them to the last, I suspect that the toe spring is well within reason.

this is part of the reason i'm rethinking HAF soles.

Thanks. It's officially milkshake suede. A light cream color. I guess my camera is janky.

As I have stated before I wore these shoes on average 3x week and have walked farther in them due to the comfort factor more than any other shoe I own. I've had them for what, over a year now?

Thanks

My points may be put forward rather strongly, and I am not trying to change the nature of the discussion to one that is less than civil, but I don't understand the pairing. To me this is like Miller Lite and Arancini di Riso.

Wait - because you don't understand the pairing, you come up with reams of 'facts' (e.g. shell is a less dressy material so CANNOT be used in a dress shoe) to prove that someone shouldn't buy a pair of MTO shoes?

That doesn't mean I am going to stop thinking and give up my right to an opinion (one that I believe well founded) just beause the person is an "authority."
Point 2 - Shell - well you covered it. I think some of these guys would buy their GF/W's shell thongs if they could . . and I am not sure which would actually get them off.
Point 3 - EG - Great maker of shoes and the Oundle is a nice shoe. My opinion, they should have refused the order, but you can't fault them for making a pound.
Point 4 - My dealings with Tom have been first rate and I believe the man is a class act and runs a great store. No one should take my criticisms of the shoes as a criticism of Tom or LS.
To me the shoes are the equivalent of a woman with C boobs going and getting a boob job to have DD. The Oundle is great shoe and there are creative things which you can do to make it unique. Making it out of shell is just not an improvement.
Oh, and I love the pun about the sacred horses.

Refused the order? How come no one has picked up on this - WTF? Who died and made you arbiter of taste? GTFO.

I'm getting shell cordovan made up in a sleek 2-eye derby format, does that fly in your book? rolleyes.gif
