. . . when I first posted them on That Other Website, directly after acquiring them on sale at Paul Stuart's last month. I can only assume that they might be of interest to readers of this thread over here.

I will say that I am still, after a couple of wearings, not used to the constriction of my ankle when wearing these. but they do make a statement.

I knew that these bad boys would attract interest, but not quite that fast, Spoo-Meister.

All I know is that they were made in England for Paul Stuart, under their label "Stuart's Choice", they're my size (9.5 D), and they were marked down by about two thirds when I bought them, and that the foot bed is quite comfortable. Don't know if C & J or Alfred Sargent, or other parties unnamed did the manufacture. The nail patterns on the heel are six sets of four-nail rhombuses, with one single nail in the center of the heel - there's got to be some obsessive shoe fanatic who'll know the maker by the nailing of the heels . . .

Spoo-Meister - are you that fickle?

Or are you just jealous that I walked into Paul Stuart on the right night (escaping the St. Jude's benefit party at Brooks next store - roving bands of ravenous schnorrers scarfing drinks and hors d'oeuvres)?

like the colour - not the overall appearance incl. the prominent creasing for a new pair.

also in regards of the theatre/drama and comments about your black munx recently. imo, one of the nicest shoes you posted ever.
