I believe the discussion was whether or not the logo should be on the sole, I am not saying that you shouldn't pay attention to quality and finish. I am simply saying that a small logo who nobody (except you) will see is not a big deal. I really don't mind it and I don't like logos.
No worries... That said, my old teacher used to say that if a man (in this case, shoemaker) doesn't pay attention to the details that can be seen, he dern sure won't pay attention to the things that can't.
Very good looking girl. But on the subject of the soles, I personally don't mind them but I see where you're coming from, it does detract from what you can do for it and I find that a sole can be a gorgeous thing. It's also kind of pointless because a brand is to identify things and I don't think the everyday guy is ordering sole leather (I think Horween prints their logo on the other side of shell, where it can't be seen).
Perhaps I get sucked into these exchanges a little too easily but it is hard to respect people who come in at the tail end of a discussion not having read anything that went before and make comments that add nothing...nothing...to the discussion or to understanding.
Cheer up that's apropos' style and outside of a four x 2 he probably won't change...
