Happy Birthday, A. The shoes are very nice. I've never heard of this brand before, but they look great.

It is a family owned business that can only be found in one store in Milan. Ron Rider was kind enough to suggest them. All of the shoes are blake/rapid and absolutely lovely. I wanted to leave with four pairs.

They look great - care to say why the brand is your favourite? serious question - I have never handled Church's (Church's and not Cheaney right?) and I know they have v loyal following if not here. thx

Why I love Church's?

My first job was at Foot Locker in Hong Kong. There was an Italian man who came to our shop a few times in a year to buy Nike Air Max for his son because they have the same foot size. This gentleman was a shoes manufacturer in Italy supplying mid price range ladies footwear to a big chain store in Hong Kong.

One time I helped him out. When he took off his dressed shoes I saw "Church's". Then I thought: this guy is an Italian making shoes in Italy but he still wore English shoes. Then there must be something about this brand. So I checked out the Church's shops in Hong Kong and found they were expensive.

I managed to save money for my first pair of Church's and then felt in love with it. After joining this forum, I turned my eyes to the SF influenced - Crockett & Jones. Well, I do own a few pairs so I can compare. Still prefer Church's to other brands.

Of course, this is very very very subjective.

Everyone has his/her own choice.

!! thanks for sharing, nice story .. I've heard elsewhere too that Italian men are partial to classic English shoes.
