no

the good thing. the "hidden" metal eyelets are not of big help. imo and from personal experience, it is a gimmicky feature.

just my two cents

I see what you mean though. I didn't notice it at first but it's barely visible from other angles. I've been eyeing up the EG Berkeley for some time now and these seem a good alternative. I'll live with the imperfections!

I got a pair of Sanders in dirty buck color and never liked the color. I was expecting camel, instead they looked like cement-green to me. Tried to sell it but there were no takers at 25 USD. So I went to work on it. Not the cleanest but I wear it now.

The Mcnairy/Sanders are different from the shoes in your pictures.... @aj_del: The color of your Sanders are strange, my dirty bucks is darker than sand color but not greenish , I post a pic in comparision with a sand clarks desert boot.

Mcnairy shoes are made by Sanders, is not a secret, at Pitti 78 with Mark there was also Henry Sanders.

^^ Actually my shoes used to be like yours in the pics above. Personally I dont like that color all that much. I am much happier with the new color.

Liquid shoe polish, but then I was prepared to f*** up the shoes totally. They were just taking up space at that point
